Hello world!

Welcome to our new blog. Well, our only blog actually. I was a little hesitant about starting one because I was unsure who was really going to read it and how much time we would have to invest in updating it. Sara assured me that since she’s pregnant with No. 2 that our family and friends would eat it up. “They’re suckers when it comes to babies,” she said. I guess she’s probably right.

A recent photo of us at the Smothers family reunion.

I sometimes feel guilty for not calling old friends often enough to see how their little ones are doing or how their recent vacation went, yet I find myself pouring through their Facebook photo galleries or reading their blog updates to find out anyway. I’m guessing some of our friends and family feel the same way, so use this as that weekly or monthly update if you’d like. But don’t hesitate to call, either 😉

In the coming days and weeks I’ll post some photos and give you some updates about our lives, like how Sara is feeling 16 weeks into this pregnancy (the morning sickness is still “kicking my butt”) and what Jackson’s newest tricks are (barking like a dog and growling “burp” after someone belches).

In the meantime, enjoy your Labor Day holiday.
